Save our History National Honors Contest
Each year, The History Channel honors teachers and students for their
exceptional commitment to history education and historic preservation both
in and out of the classroom. Twenty-four teachers and 24 students will
receive $500 cash prizes, while one teacher and one student will be chosen
as the Save Our History Teacher and Student of the Year, respectively. The
Teacher and Student of the Year will each be awarded $5,000 and will be
flown to Washington, D.C., in May or June of 2007, to be honored at the
annual Save Our History National Event. Elementary, middle, and high school
teachers and students are eligible to apply. Entries are due in March 2007.
