Computer Technician

Position: Computer Technician (Supply Help Desk)
Compensation: Non-exempt Level position
Position location: Charlotte, NC

The Boy Scouts of America, Supply Office has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated, experienced
Computer Technician in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Job Overview:
To support customers via phone and email using strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong knowledge of the business products and functions and strong customer service skills. Ensures the helpdesk is supported including extended hours.

The individual in this position will:

  • Manage and solve internal customer questions or issues relating to software and hardware effectively and efficiently and proven ability to document issues accordingly
  • Be flexible with work schedule (hours of operation are Scout shop hours throughout the country)
  • Document processes, and work in both a team and independent environment
  • Participates on special assignments

Qualifications/ Experience: The qualified candidate must have:

  • 2+ years of experience in a helpdesk, desktop support or call center environment
  • Demonstrated strong service, verbal, interpersonal, listening and written communication skills
  • Positive and outgoing attitude
  • Comp TIA A+ Certified, experience with all Windows OS, MS Office, Help Desk ticketing systems, network connectivity troubleshooting, PC Imaging and Printer support
  • POS support experience a major plus
  • Preferred but optional: Access, Crystal Reports Design, SQL Scripting
