Cub Scout
- Includes information for parents, as well as the video It Happened to Me (AV-09DVD11)
- Materials are for use in pack and den meetings to show Cub Scouts and their parents what boys should do to prevent abuse from happening to them.
Boy Scout/Varsity Scout
- Online training for Boy Scouts and Venturers appointed as den chiefs
- Identifies den chief responsibilities and tasks
- Describes the den chief’s relationship to the adult den leaders
- At the conclusion of this training, den chiefs are encouraged to participate in the one-day den chief training conference (No. 34450).
- Designed to be an adventure that has its underpinnings in the application of the leadership skills learned in the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops or Crews, NYLT, and NAYLE courses.
- This course is designed to be conducted in conjunction with a trek or a trip as an adventure with a purpose.
- A weeklong, outdoor program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops.
- A weeklong, Philmont-based wilderness encounter that motivates Scouts to follow a life of helping others succeed.
- Introduces the “three R’s” of Youth Protection
- Should be viewed by troops annually

- Intended to help Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts in leadership positions understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities.
- Is a prerequisite for Boy Scouts to participate in more advanced leadership courses (i.e., National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE)).
- Replaces Troop Leadership Training (TLT).
Venturing
- Primarily for Venturing youth who are officers in their Venturing crew
- Can be used by adult leaders to learn the duties of the officers in the crew
- For youth officers to understand their roles and responsibilities as related to crew officer briefings and seminars
- Develop an annual plan of activities for the crew
- Acquire leadership and team-building skills
- Intended to help Venturers in leadership positions understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities.
- Is a prerequisite for Venturers to participate in more advanced leadership courses (i.e., National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE) and the Kodiak Challenge).
- Replaces Venturing Leadership Skills Course (VLSC).
- Intended to help Sea Scouts in leadership positions within their ship understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities.
- Is a prerequisite for Sea Scouts to participate in more advanced leadership courses (i.e., National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE) and the Kodiak Challenge).
- Replaces Venturing Leadership Skills Course (VLSC).

- Covers acquaintance rape, peer sexual harassment, suicide, and Internet safety
- Leadership development course for Sea Scouts based on the application of seamanship, piloting, and navigational skills.
- Uses seamanship skills as a vehicle for leadership development. Participants must have achieved the Sea Scout Ordinary rank and secure a nomination from their ship's Skipper to participate.
